Tools for Risk Assessment
With routine dental visits, oral healthcare providers are often the first line of defense in the prevention, early detection, and treatment of systemic diseases. Empowering oral HCPs to assess dental patients’ overall risk for periodontal-systemic sequalea, and screen for such things as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, allows them to make the appropriate referral to physicians. Medical screening in a dental setting is a major paradigm shift, and ramps up the opportunity for oral HCPs to contribute to improved health outcomes and integrate dental care into the larger healthcare system. Check out these novel risk assessment tools.

Courses
Whether self-paced online courses or live webinars, Casey is a master at helping learners better understand complex scientific information about the interrelationships between oral and overall health, empowering clinicians to immediately implement what they have learned.
There’s a major bonus to Casey’s courses ― the Post-Course Implementation Workshops, (a.k.a. ‘learning on steroids’). Delivered by live video conferencing, workshops provide a relaxed learning environment that helps you dive deeper and accelerate what you learned ― real time. As your virtual instructor, Casey has a much better opportunity to personalize the learning experience, connect more intimately with everyone, and help customize, with excitement, what you learned, according to your unique practice settings. Virtual workshops are comprised of 75-minute (1 hour and 15 minute) sessions that are delivered over 2-12 weeks, depending upon the length of individual courses and can be scheduled for 1-12 people. Workshops are the closest you’ll ever get to personalized consulting services that also provide CDE credit. These are great for lunch & learns, and team building retreats.

Mini Messages
Mini Messages
$59.95Original price was: $59.95.$47.95Current price is: $47.95.What are the key messages can we tell patients about periodontal-systemic interrelationships that are scientifically founded. And, given the limited time we can spend with our patients, and how can we be efficient in educating them? Mini-Messages were specifically designed by Casey to help busy clinicians address this hurdle. Mini-messages are 30 - 70 second animations that explain how periodontal disease increases the risk for a number of inflammatory-driven diseases such as cardio/cerebrovascular disease and pneumonia, in addition to complications of diabetes and in pregnancy. The messages are communicated in layman’s terms, and easily understood by patients, helping them understand why it’s so important to diagnose and treat periodontitis, and making case acceptance more successful. The video animations can be downloaded to a tablet to share with patients in the operatory, or patients can watch the animations on screens in the reception area. Casey Hein owns the copyright on these animations, which are designed to share with patients during appointments in dental or medical offices. Please note: Posting the animated Mini-Messages on another website is a violation of copyright. Before purchasing, you must agree to follow Terms and Conditions which prohibit use of the Mini-Messages on your website, or other web-based or digital platforms, including educational sites or social media.Add to cart
